The island palace has an impressive chhatri (cenotaph) carved from grey blue
stone and is flanked by a row of enormous stone elephants. Its walls are
covered with bas-relief, friezes of makar (crocodiles), elephants, carved
dancers statue of Garuda. From the balconies, you get a superb view of the
lake and the city. |
