Sri Padmanabhaswamy Temple : |

Sri Padmanabhaswamy temple, built in the Dravidian style, is the
city's most impressive landmark dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Its seven
storeyed gopuram constructed by Maharaja of Travancore in 1773 is one of
the finest specimens of traditional South Indian temple architecture. |

Puttan Malika Palace :

The Puttan Malika Palace, immediately
southeast of the temple, became the seat of the Travancore rajas after they
left Padamanabhapuram at the end of the 19th century. Some of the palace
has been turned into a museum and displays a collection of heirlooms and
artefacts, however the highlight is the typically understated, elegant
Keralan architecture. |

Napier Museum :

The Government (Napier) Museum of arts and crafts, situated north
of the city was completed in 1880. It displays 15th century Keralan
woodcarvings from Kulathupuzha and Thiruvattar, contemporary ornaments,
ivory carvings, carved temple chariot, 12th century Chola and 14th century
Vijaynagar bronze.
