Most of the pilgrim who pass through Rishikesh on their way to the Himalayan shrines of the Char Dham pause for a dip and puja at Triveni Ghat, close to the centre of the town, is said to have been a place where Ganga is believed to join here by Yamuna and Saraswati Rivers. Statues of heroes of Hinduism have recently been sprouted up along the ghat giving it an air of a theme park. |
