Explore Pune Pune Sightseeing Shaniwarwada Palace

Shaniwarwada Palace, Pune

Shaniwarwada Palace

In the centre of the oldest part of the town, only the imposing huge walls of the Shaniwarwada Palace survived three fires in the 18th and 19th centuries. The Palace founded by the Peshwa ruler Bajrao I in 1730 and the chief residence of the Peshwas until the British arrived in 1817, has little to excite interest today.
