DELHI LUCKNOW VARANASI (BANARAS) AGRA JAIPUR DELHI

Day 01 :- Departure from Home Country
 
Day 02 :- Delhi Arrival
Raj GhatArrive Delhi & transfer to Hotel. Overnight Delhi. Check-in and check-out timings are always 1200 hrs noon.
 
Day 03 :- Delhi Lucknow
Lakshinarayan TempleMorning Visit Raj Ghat - the cremation site of Mahatma Gandhi and , Jama Masjid and drive past Red Fort and Chandni Chowk.

Check-out at 1200 hrs.

Afternoon tour of New Delhi. Visit Qutab Minar, Humayun's Tomb, India Gate, Lakshminarayan Temple - a modern Hindu Temple. Drive past President's House, Government Secretariat buildings and Connaught place shopping centre of New Delhi.

Evening transfer to Rail-station for Lucknow night train. Night on board.
 
Day 04 :- Lucknow
Chota ImambaraMorning arrive Lucknow. Transfer to Hotel. Afternoon visits. Lucknow was the 18th century capital of Nawab Wazirs & the centre of culture and tradition. Visit the great Imambara, Jama Masjid, Picture gallery, the Clock Tower, Roomi Darwaza, Residency & Dilkusha Palace.

Overnight Lucknow.
 
Day 05 :- Lucknow Varansi
Varanasi ghatMorning transfer to rail station in time for Varansi train. Evening arrive Varanasi & transfer to hotel.

Overnight Varanasi.

 
Day 06 :- Varanasi (Banaras) - Morning boat ride
Varanasi ghatMorning boat ride on the river Ganges, a ferry pilgrimage from Ghat to Ghat. People bath early in the morning to offer the prayers to the rising sun. The two cremation Ghats are Manikarnika & Harishchandra where funeral pyre burns day & night. It is the belief of every pious Hindu that to die in Kashi and to be cremated on banks of the Ganges is to attain release from the cycle of birth & death.

Rest of the day free. Overnight Varanasi.
 
Day 07 :-Varanasi(Banaras) Agra
Agra fortDay free. Check-out from the hotel at 1200 hrs. Evening transfer to rail-station for Agra night train.

Night on board.
 
Day 08 :- Agra
Taj Mahal Morning arrive Tundla rail-station and transfer to hotel in Agra.

Afternoon visit the world famous Taj Mahal built by the Mughal Emperor Shahjehan in 1630 AD for his Queen Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains. Later visit the Agra fort containing , the halls of public & private audience. Also visit the Tomb of Itmad -ud-Daula built by empress Noorjehan in memory of her father.

Overnight in Agra. Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays.

 
Day 09 :- Agra Jaipur
Fatehpur Sikri Morning drive to Jaipur by road enroute visiting Fatehpur Sikri built by emperor Akbar in 1569 AD & abandoned after 15 years due to scarcity of water. See the graceful buildings including the Jama Masjid, Tomb of Salim Chisti, Panch Mahal & other Palaces.

Afternoon half day tour of Jaipur, visiting Maharaja's city Palace, Jantar Mantar (the observatory) & Ramniwas Gardens. Drive past Hawa Mahal and through the pink rose residential and business areas.

Overnight Jaipur.

 
Day 10 :- Jaipur
Amber fortMorning excursion to Amber fort - the ancient capital of the state 1728. Visit the Sheeshmahal or the hall of victory glittering with mirrors.

Afternoon free. Overnight Jaipur.
 
Day 11 :- Jaipur Delhi
India Gate Drive to Delhi. No Hotel. Later transfer to Delhi airport in time for return flight.
 
Day 12 :- Departure
