Kempty Falls, 18km northwest on
the road down to Yamuna Bridge,
has the distinction of being
the biggest and prettiest waterfall located in a beautiful valley. This local beauty spot has been all but ruined by its
deluge of day trippers. In theory they come to take a dip in the pool at
the foot of the falls themselves. The steps down to the pool from the road
lead past shops, beggars and snake-charmers, while commercial
photographers lie in wait at the bottom to capture holiday snaps. |
