Belur Math |
| Belur Math is in the north of the city, on the west bank of the Hooghly River and is the headquarters of the Ramakrishna Mission. It was erected by a disciple of Ramakrishna, Swami Vivekananda, in 1938. It is famous for the massive riverfront temple- a symbol of the resurgence in Bengali Hinduism. | |
