Umaid Bhawan is popularly called Chittar Palace by the local public, the foundation of this grand piece of architecture was laid on 1929 by Maharaja Umed Singh. It is made on the Chittar Hills in South Eastern direction of the City. Now it has been divided into 3 functional parts, one having a five-star hotel, one is the residence of the royal family and one has been opened for public where a few pictures, arms, swords, and other things used by the royalties have been exhibited.
