Sas Bahu ka Mandir built in the 11th century. The Sasbahu,
or "mother- and daughter-in-law", temples overlook the city from the
eastern edge of the fort, near the unsightly TV mast. The larger of the
pair has a three - storey mandapa (assembly hall), supported by four
intricate pillars, while the smaller one consists of an open-sided porch
with a pyramidal roof. Both were erected late in the eleventh century
and are dedicated, like the Teli-ka-Mandir, to Vishnu. |
