Guruvayur

Guruvayur is one of the most important pilgrimage centres in India and is sometimes referred to as the Dwaraka of the south, attracting thousands of pilgrims from all parts of the country.

Jewish Synagogue

Built in 1568, this building was destroyed by the Potuguese in 1662 and rebuilt by the Dutch two years later. Scrolls of the Old Testament and a number of copper plates inscribed in the Hebrew script are preserved here. 

St. Francis Church
It is the oldest church built by European in India, this Protestant church was originally built by the Portuguese in 1510. Vasco da Gama, who died was buried here.
Santa Cruz Cathedral (Basilica)

This Church is also located in Fort Cochin. It was completed in 1907. This Roman Catholic is a specimen of Portuguese architecture and some beautiful  mural paintings  is decorate  the ceiling and interior parts of the Cathedral.
